Director Imtiaz Ali's much awaited film Love Aaj Kal opened to packed cinema houses. As the name suggests, this Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan starrer, revolves around two eras - 'Love Aaj' shot at London, San Francisco, and Delhi depicting 2009 and 'Love Kal' shot at Delhi and Calcutta depicting 1965. The look for Love Aaj was cool, hip and happening, sleek and sophisticated where as the look for love Kal was designed to have a period feel to it but since the visuals were depicting a beautiful love story it couldn't be a typical sepia old era look. It needed to look starkly different from present day but at the same time it had to look pretty and unique. The challenge was showing a seamless transition from Love Aaj to Love Kal. The to and fro between two different looks had to be managed without disturbing the narrative and without making it look heavily and deliberately treated.

It is like a one stop shop where once you complete the shoot and deliver the negative, you can be assured about the final print reaching you, the distributers and exhibitors without any delays. Working with Prime Focus on Love Aaj Kal has been a wonderful experience much like our previous partnerships in projects like Eklavya and Jab We met"
