FICCI FRAMES 2008 to feature Masters of Visual Effects from Hollywood , Jim Rygiel and Christian Rivers

Mumbai, February 3, 2008:


This year at FICCI FRAMES 2008 , get hooked at the mind boggling session on “VFX- Making Possible the impossible” with the Masters of Visual Effects from Hollywood , Jim Rygiel and Christian Rivers.

Jim and Christian are Academy and BAFTA award winners , two of the most prestigious awards in the gamut of Film and Entertainment. They have got numerous films on their portfolio which has made the Hollywood box office jingling. Namely “Fantastic Four – Rise of the silver surfer “ , “Lord of the rings “ , “ Fast & the Furious” , “Chronicles of Narnia” , “King Kong” etc. to name a few .



Jim and Christian will showcase there work and discuss various aspects of VFX in films at FICCI FRAMES 2008 , 25^th-27^th March , Mumbai . The session mainly discusses on : Visual effects technology has made virtually everything possible. Today it has become an integral part of any Hollywood project and is also catching up fast with the Indian Film Industry. The film industry is breaking barriers and no longer producing merely conventional drama & love-story based movies and but adding VFX as an important component of every project. Films like Krrish, Dhoom2, Om Shanti Om have got great success by using large doses of VFX . What is the future of VFX in India? Shall we see a lot more of it in Film & Television? Does India have a proper talent pool and infrastructure to match up with Hollywood? Join this session on a journey through the digital frontier with a variety of opinion and plenty of debate with some very eminent VFX experts

Apart from VFX there are other interesting session on Animation and Gaming , namely “Revenue streams in animation” , “ Gaming a Status Report” etc .
