hi guys, some days before i posted this matte-painting which was in WIP... http://www.cgtantra.com//forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3899& PN=1 i think i m pretty happy with it... so, i m putting that in that forum i hope u all like it .. and comments r always welcomed
Level 1 : I took an image of sunset and roughly make a idea for the hot-summer city.
Level 2 : Finished rough work and try to detailed 'em and applied little shadow and light to give 'em life.But, still it is darker.
Level 3 : After little amout of L&S to 'The Hot City'.i gave more detail towards frontier architecture... and gave more bloom,fog and haze behind them,. And specially for night-evening look and to alocate building i've put city lights on sturctures,. added some photo burned color values to make it more hotter which can enriched my picture.

nice work, which software did u use and the structures inthe foreground..........are they made by you......... sorry for such stupid question, but i am not much aware of the procedure used in matte painting............ |

well, i forget to mentioned.. only bg-sky_ocen{level 1} is used as a photo/picture and rest of all is painted through out in PS[Photoshop].

hey there vaibhav it is good very much good didn't u think as u have shown more toward techno type it will more help if u put some air crowd in it or more flashy evening, more neon's it will make out the rhythm of ur imagination damn job man i admire ur advice |

good work man... specially the light sense n colors only problem is with the buildings that are far away... they just dont blend into ur scene... there is a sudden drift in the color fall in that area..they just grey off... in reality the color variation is very gradually visible..the foreground lights have to stay further more i guess... hope u get the point |
