please give a hard crit about my first character animation !!
Here i ve tried to make the Loman character to standUp from a stone bench.

Okay nice first try...! Though I d like to c a finished animation!


Here's my bit that you can work on 2 improve on it...


1. As he's gettin up tighten his fingers to show that he's grasping the edge of the bench


2. After shifting his feet 2 balance himself....keep them static..right now the heels seem to be moving...


3. Give a stretched pose b4 he gets up where his shoulders r up n his arms r stretched...n he's jus lifting up his cog..sumthin like halway between sittin n standing! Give sum frames here to show the tension..maybe a little wobble on the arms...n then make him stand up...a snappier action here would work jus fine! At the end, jus cushion the pose thats it!

Thnx moush , nice that u hav pointed out my errs , i totally forgot to
animate the fingers , anyway i am re-doing the standup!! .
this time i am going to make it look good , i ll post it for comments too.

.....i d like to know how do you make the animation look 'snappier' or 'cartoony'
right now i feel my animation is rigid n not appealing . . 
cd u pls tell how to animate more snappier .. How do we get that !

Hey


Snappy animation is where the motion creates a visual snap so u get the impact of the pose or gesture its getting in2. Snappy animation is not jerky animation as some people unfortunately think. So basically if you have 2 keyposes the frames in between them will be closer or rather similar in pose to the previous key so that it snaps in2 the next pose. And then you cushion the pose so there's no jerk in the action.


In 3d, Basically what you have to do is create a breakdown pose in between 2 keys that is similar to and closer in spacing 2 the 1st key...


Another thing is the drag or the secondary movement that is also important in snappy animation. And lastly, cushioning! U feel ur animation is rigid coz itz not being cushioned...cushioning is very important as it softens up the visual snap and makes the whole action visually appealing...
