Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects Institute opens in Goa
Goa, April 9:
Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects, India’s premier animation training institute opened its training facility in Goa at Navelim today.
Earlier in the day, Avertano Furtado, MLA formally inaugurated the Frameboxx centre in the sprawling education hub near Madgaon station in Goa Arts & Animation Academy, Ratwadda, Novelim.

With 55 expert training facilities around the country, Frameboxx centre is equipped with three high-end classrooms and a lab with editing suite to deliver world-class training to the students of Goa, informed Naveen Gupta, CEO and Executive Director of Frameboxx, while addressing the media.
In recent years there had been a tremendous growth in post-production work which is also
extensively being outsourced to India that necessitates the need for highly skilled manpower for the animation and visual effects industry in India, he added.
The biggest advantage that the students of Frameboxx enjoy is regular interaction with the industry professionals and animation studios, and we have been achieving 100 percent placements in top production houses, Naveen informed.

He said that the animation and visual effects industry in the country would continue to grow at 19% (CAGR) in next three years. Worldwide the animation genre of films have done very well in the last two years, and out of the 10 top box office grosser worldwide, six were animated films.
Though market share of animation productions accounts for only 7 percent of the films released in 2010, they amounted to 45 percent of ticket sales and box office collections, he informed.
Quoting the recently released FICCI-KPMG report on Indian media and entertainment, Naveen Gupta said that the VFX and post-production industry reached INR 23.6 billion, with visual effects alone contributing 42% to this growth, while the animation industry has been pegged at INR 10 billion, Naveen Gupta said.

Frameboxx also set up a unique incubation centre at Mumbai where the students, after completion of their course, undergo a six months’ industry drill and work on live projects.
Founded in 2008, Frameboxx is today the fastest growing animation and visual effects training brand with more than 55 expert training facilities across India as well as in Sri Lanka and another one is on the anvil in Dubai. The students can also get a B.Sc degree in Animation and Visual Media for which Frameboxx has a tie up with the Sikkim Manipal University under its Distance Education programme.
