My Free and comprehensive Blender Training for Beginners

Hello Folks.

I have been conducting Blender classes as part of a User Group in Kuala Lumpur. I am making available the video recordings of the classes for anyone interested. So far 6 sessions have taken place and more in the offing. These classes are for the absolute beginner. :-)

I feel "Blender" is not a software, but a gift. Though it is smaller in MB, but still it has some amazing power. I have seen some movie made in the Blender and feels the power of Blender. If any one has not seen, than visit http://www.sintel.org/ and see the sintel movie. It is one of the best short animation film I have seen.

Also I have got Blender 2.49 and some resources. But I am little busy to try them. Otherwise I will use them in as I got some free time.

And thanks iluvblender (honesty that should be my name, just joking) for sharing the resources. I will regularly check this place in future for more information.

IS BLENDER LIGHTING OUTPUT BETTER DAN MAYA LIGHTING OUTPUTS.. am a student so am eager to learn d better 1...nthng wrng i guess.. &
ur ans vill dfntly incline me towards d software..so plsss ans..thnk u..

Let mte put it this way, if you know your way around lighting you will have no problems finding it to good use, said that Blender does lack features like GI and caustics.

Gaurav said the same words i was going to say. Learn the fundamentals of the art and you can create magic using any piece of software.

All the best with any tool that you choose, but get your fundamentals right.

with all due respect to ur comments..what i meant was i knw maya lighting n is der any benifit nw in learning blender..is der anythng which i cant achieve in maya dat i can acheive in blender dats it..

Now that is something you have to find out yourself, download blender and give it a try.
