3D Illustration Challenge - CCA Edition :: Guidelines & Rules

Create a 3D Illustration on the theme - LOVE. Get creative about the characters, scenario, era, culture, universe, race and anything you can think of. Zombies, Animals, Gods, Reptiles, Warriors, Vampires, Cartoons, Insects, Ogres - Or think of any kind of couple you can imagine and place them in their own kind of environment. Model/Sculpt the Characters, Texture & Light them, create a Environment or just paint a BG for them.

This Challenge is a category of CGTantra Community Awards and the results will be declared along with other Categories at the Award ceremony at CGTExpo in May at Mumbai, India.

The Judges for the contest are same as other categories. CHECK OUT

Rules

1. Contest starts 3rd March and runs till 30th April midnight 12:00 GMT. Winners will be declared and announced at CGTantra Community Awards, Mumbai in May.

2. This is a 3D Illustration Contest. Model, Sculpt, Texture, Light, Create BG to create a final Illustration.

3. Their is no limitation of software.

4. Do write few lines about your concept.

5. ENTERING THE CONTEST - The contest aims more towards learning for everyone so keep posting your work in progress in your own thread. Create your own WIP thread in this Challenge Section. Keep the title of your thread in following convention - [[Title of your Artwork]] | [[Your Real Name]]

6. SUBMISSION - You need to submit the following before 30th April in the "Final Entries" thread that will be created on 20th of April -
a) A Short Description/Name
b) 2 Screenshots of your character of any angles of your choice that will make your model look great, with software interface.
c) Clay Render of your scene with some nice lighting as a beauty shot.
d) Any one closeup screenshot of choice of the character that will show off your work.
e) Final Composited Image of your Illustration

All total 5 images size - 1280x800 px in jpg format . Add the attached Contest Logo watermark on your final entries.

Additionally - It will be great if the winner can send us the making of the artwork for us to publish here on CGTantra for others to learn from you.

Me too in the same boat,
I want to make a bust and my focus will be face expression. (according to the topic)

Yeah Arun, The focus should be in a good looking illustration & composition. No restrictions on how much you wish to model.
