So no one seems to have done one in a while, but is there any interest in the "how-to" for my matte? I'm not sure that I'd teach anyone anything, but I'm happy to do it if there's interest.

why? they don't say that your work doesn't deserve to get the award, maybe they are referring to something else... to me your work has to be in second or third position (as you are). but think that this is a little subjective. Maybe a like a lot a work than you don't like.
