This is gray scale render.Participating in this competition was a great learning experience.
Due to some render problem we could not post the final textured render, even if it is not for the competition we will post you the final rendered image. Thank you, all the best for the competitors. Thanks for all your encouragement.

very beautiful work i must say it's just too beautiful! you have shown so much of love and affection in this lil illustration here...
well we have a few points for u, if this is what u call a final render...
the points that we would like talk about are listed as follows:
what is krishna looking at?
and why's krishna wearing lipstick (ohh yes that's what u've seen in most of the posters and movies... blue skin guys ware lipsticks? probably...)
krishna's dhoti's not detaild enough, as in, if u take a look at it from behind it looks like there's something stuck n there makeing it hanging out so low....
the hand gestures dosent say a thing about the illustration, as in it's not even looking like the two of them are talking... if u had to pose the hands u should have made sure that the gestures were strong enough for an illustration...
the deltoid muscles are not really visible or if u call those deltoids then i'd call them saggy....
where did the tree go, with better and more realistic texture and stuff(those were your words) *lol?
can u see the nail of the fingure? do u realize that the form of the hand here is totally off i guess it was al that posing and not looking at the forms duz this to a character...
and i wonder why most of the details for krishna's abs were painted over we couldent really see the same details in the turn table...
and yes u didnt really disappoint us not at all...
and now we never said that ur work is disappointing or anything we are giveing u a reason for what we are saying....
we have actually crit u...
now pls be kind enough to reply to this post and help us understand the illustration better...
we are looking forward for a reply my friend...
explain these and there will be more crits in coming!
best of luck! and as i said b4 we really are looking forward to get a reply....

Hi r0.ot,
Even though, I'm not at all a 3D artist (am proficient in Adobe Photoshop & 2D), but still, I can comment on this artwork, & have to agree with you on most of the critiques that you mentioned here! After watching movies like "The Shrek" and "Ice Age", I really have a very high level of expectation from 3D artworks! But in this particular artwork, there are many faults, which I can point out!
In this artwork, the hair of Lord Krishna looks totally incomplete; also the other character's hair seems more or less, incomplete! The hand of the character, touching the rock, is not composited properly; it seems similar to those, when you visit any monument like The Taj Mahal, & the photographer clicks a picture at such an angle, where it looks, as if you're touching the tip of the monument! Does not look real! The right shoulder of the character is quite highly placed, which looks odd!
And, now about the BG! Though, you may be focusing mainly on the two characters on the FG, the BG plays an important role in setting the mood of your artwork! Too many cloned elements in there (they are flowers, I guess), and that too, blurred out! The sky does not look real; here too, there are many blurred areas!
Overall, it looks good, but when you get into the details, there are many defects that pops-out!

well thanks for your support kaustav...i completely agree with your crits too... we didnt want go go into the bg as in our team we mostly concentrated on the 3D part... but coming from u team maxX has to agree to the points that you have listed here! and notjust that when u said that the BG creats the mood i completely agree to that too... as ever time u look at the High res image the details look incomplete for a sot taken at such a close angle!
and yes those are flowers... and again if you take a look at the rock on the left hand side you can easily figuer out the cloning done...
@Kaustavsinha..We agree with all ur points and we would like to say is This was our first attempt on Tetxturing compositing and rendering so We r still a learner on compositing and all so Thanks for ur Valuable critics and we would definately try to improve our quality...Actually those r not flowers we just wanted to show some war preparation going on behind there so if u guys r catching them as flowers so those(Rendering And Compositing) r one of the major areas we need to improve on...Thanks Again Kaustav
we apologize to our mistake in submission , actually we had uploaded our final render images on our account thread at cgtantra website.
please check out our work and accept our entries for mahabharat.
these are our links to our submission done yesterday 10th april.

I was quite disappointed by the way r0.ot was keeping on replying on his WIP thread, with negative comments (including some really unacceptable comments) towards the experienced members, instead of taking the critiques seriously & learning from them!
Here's what I feel, reveals your over-confidence attitude: "we say taht we r gud coz we have done a lot in so les time....which i gues no one has done..."
Speed is not that important, but how you finish your task in time is more important! Above all, always act as a student, rather than thinking yourself as a teacher! Always take critiques positively; it will definitely help you in becoming a better artist! If you continue behaving like this, you might not even be able to listen to your future employer & start abusing him/her unnecessarily, & getting yourself fired, like you already have been LOL! So, learn from this mistake!
Am glad that, the member has been banned!
