Hi Everyone,
We are almost coming towards the end of the January month’s Digital Matte Painting Challenges – The Lost World! So, when you think, that your mattepainting WIPs has transformed into a Finished Work, you can submit it here, in this Submit yourFinal Entry – The Lost World thread.
Your final image has to be, a minimum of 1300 x 700 px in size. The resolution must be 300 dpi.
The contestants are also requested to prepare a “making of” article, containing the WIP images, the steps & processes followed in creating the final matte painting. This will be required for publication of the top 3 winner’s mattepaintings, in the ARTT - CGTantra monthly artbook of Excellence!
The last date for submission is 25th January, 2009. All final entries must be posted here, within 12 midnight. After this time, the thread will be declared closed & no more entries will be entertained.
NOTE: Multiple entries are allowed, but only the best out of the multiple entries will be selected & then will be judged along with the pool of entries of all the contestants! A particular contestant will not be entitled with more than 1 prize. Every Final Matte Painting needs to have WIPs present in their individual WIP threads! Those Final Matte Paintings, which does not have any WIP posted on their individual WIP threads, & is directly posted here, will NOT be eligible for judgement!
THREAD CLOSED! No more entries will be accepted!
RESULTS will be posted on Jan 31st, 2009, along with CRITIQUES from the Judges!
Did I understood correctly that top 3 winners must compose "making of" article, after the winners are selected out? Or all contestants must compose a article before the 25th of January?

Hi malts,
Well, the "making of" article needs to be prepared after the winners are declared, at the end of January! We may even ask for the "making of" articles from contestants, who have shown potential & creativity in their mattepainting, but didn't won eventually, in addition to the Top 3 winners! Try to create your mattepainting, keeping WIPs intact; not just posting the Final Mattepainting directly!
But, you need not be concerned about this right now! Concentrate on your mattepainting! Good luck to all of you!
