Okay!! time for my first post at this forum. Just finished creating some videos showing the creation of Pixie Dust Effect (as seen in the movie Tinkerbell). There are several such techniques and tutorials available, and i tried to make one that's a combo of few of these while keeping them simple. The videos can be accessed and downloaded here:
I posted these on MIVID as this site doesn't downgrade on the video quality. Recommend watching the videos in "Full Screen" view by clicking on the full screen button right below the videos.
Feel free to put down your feedback and suggestions. Stay tuned for more stuff coming soon.

Incredible! Amazing tutorial and thanks for posting it on such a high quality site. I could see every little detail of what you were doing so it made it so easy for me to replicate and the sound was awesome as well. Please, make more tutorials! I love Maya and I actually learned something from your tutorials.
wow!! thanks for the positive feedback guys... its just egged me on to do more tutorials now .. well, this weekend i will be recording more of these and put em on...
if you guys have a suggestion/request for doing some tuts on any topic (in Maya, Fusion, After Effects, Photoshop etc), lemme know...
I am also particularly interested in any tutorials involving importing 3d tracking data into Maya from 3d tracking applications like Boujou or a tutorial on 2d tracking and importing to After Effects process with the Mocha AE included in the CS4 package.
You should do a tutorial on rigging and bone systems in Maya as well as a tutorial in After Effects that involves some crazy effect, I am looking for inspiration in After Effects at this point.
I just started watching the new series of tutorials, and so far they look absolutely amazing. I love how you taught how to use Boujou from the ground up. It was so informative that I learned a couple neat tricks even though I have unsuccessfully tried to 3d track before. Excellent work. I can't wait until you come out with the Maya part of the tracking.
Thanks adkaplan... all the videos are now ready and i am in the process of uploading them... u shud find them all ready by evening... its a pain juggling between office work and my personal stuff... :-)
i had to compromise on the quality a bit this time as the whole set of videos was getting over 1 GB (if i stuck to the same quality as my previous tuts). however, there still shudnt be any probs viewing or following them.
if u have any doubts or questions on the tut, feel free to ask in the forum and i wud be more than glad to help clarify the same...
Thanks for up loading this tutorials can you plz put tutorials for tracking if an object is animated and combined with real scene example like walking or something using Boujou and maya.
hi bhavin, as a matter of fact, i have been currently working on something similar... i will be posting it soon as i have done recording these videos...
