My first modeling attempt in Maya
Hello friends, I'm Sarat from India and this is my first attempt at modeling. I'm a beginner at modeling & would like some critique & helpful tips and tricks. Goofy has oval eyes and cannot have usual sphere eye rig. I want to animate him. So the solution that I have but dont know how to do is to have a circle for pupil that can float on OVAL insted of moving the oval. Plz help. The cloaths are little off & not sitting properly because I will apply dynamics and have it sag. Is it wrong to model this way insted of T pose. Will it cause Rigging issues? My second model. Why is it taking so long to get the quads just right. Is it just me or every ones problem? The number of verts on hands was 20 & that of arms was 8. And it took a lot of time to work arround it. Same problem with connecting head with body. 18 vs 8. How much time is ideal to dedicate in modeling one character? Say in a studio environment.
