Graphic Card for 3ds max, maya and gaming!

Hi guyz, i want to buy a decent gpu card which play games on hi-res and help me in 3ds max and maya viewport performance.... fast rendering is not needed just want to work with heavy scenes and particle system.

my pc config:
Processor : amd X4 965 quad core
RAM :4 gb ram
Motherboard: asus m3a78-em
Zebronics bijli2 cabinet.

gpu card which can work smooth in 3dsmax n Maya viewport and run games like hell..

Right now i have this msi card in my mind R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC 2GB
and some says it work good in 3ds max n maya and it can play games too.

ngtx 560 ti twin frozer 2 it better than this and also have cuda in it but it doesn't work good in cad application.....

So, please tell what u guyz think should i get this card or not........????

Although if you can wait a month or so, GTX570 prices will drop too making it equally affordable.

But you haven't told us- Which SMPS do you have? Both of those cards are very very high powered cards, you will have to buy a good SMPS/PSU to go with it.

I have seasonic s1II 620 Watt 80+...... and nvidia gtx 5xx series have lotts n lotts of problem with 3d cad n maya viewports.

price 21k how much will it drop........... i saw 6950 2gb of zotac very few months before.........

frankly speaking i don't really wan't hing end game just need card work good with 3ds max n maya viewport and games.

I'm waiting till 10th april ..............

nVidia is the best answer for your question Geforce 5xx series currently the best shot for you. You'll miss out on CUDA if you buy ATi card.

It will surely drop, GTX580 price has already been sliced and it will reflect in India soon enough. That will affect the prices of the GTX570 too.

EDIT: It is rumoured to drop to 17k.

guyz please research abt gtx 560 ti 2gb by MSI, it is not campatible with cad application n very lagg in viewport even with very small object..

please tell me if u r sure abt any card, i'm really confused rite now.............
i know nvidia will be better when it comes to cuda but what if it doesn't work well and the same problem exists in gtx 570 and its not even 2gb and sm say if wanna use gpu card for cad u have to buy 2gb VRAM.

if u use heavy scenes in 3ds max n maya then please tell me which card do u have..........

I m sure you know that Geforce(or even Radeon) series of GFX cards is not officially supported by 3ds Max or Maya then you may have to buy a Quadro series card(official support for 3ds Max/Maya) but then you may not get the desired performance for gaming with it. Other was is to buy Geforce 400 series card but again it has bad points. last option is to go with a Radeon card but will miss CUDA, although CUDA is not used by many renderers there is one called Arion(by Random Control) which utilizes CUDA, its in early days and has a very good potential of becoming a mainstream renderer.

guyz i have to buy quadro 600 because nothing seems to e working in maya and gtx 460 is good for 3ds max but in maya it shows it's true color and nothing is suited for maya well what to do is there no card which can handle both 3ds max n maya any good! i have hd 3200 which is absolute no for maya..............
please advise any good card very confused rite now.........

but i also want to play games i thought this forum will help n share ur exp of ur gpu here but it seems very few have consumer card for thier cad and i thought 9 out of 10 uses consumer card over quadro................

please suggest me any gpu which can handle maya, 3dsmax and gaming

and how come nvidia gtx 580 3 gb is not performing better than gtx 260 in maya.
