hi Aravind,
Vaibhav Studios is not working on a feature as yet. We are currently working on a series of half hour mini films. Most of the Indian animation films released in the past have been substandard and the response of the Indian audiences has been cold. As a result distributors are not willing to pay for the films in line. Yes we are no doubt highly qualified on the technical and infrastructure front. However over the last 2 decades, Indian animation studios have mainly focused on executing outsourced projects. As a result we have almost forgotten to tell our own stories and make our own films. Animation is a lengthy process. It will take a while before we learn from our mistakes and raise the quality of our films.
Hi Dhawal,
Glad to know you are having fun! All the best!
Hi Gora,
Its never too late to follow what you love doing. However knowing a software alone won't help. To begin with get more information on what all is happening in the vfx industry around you. You will be in a better position to make a decision after that. All the best.
Hi Pritam,
Sorry i too have not heard of fast in and fast out!! Must be the opposite of slow in and slow out!!
hi vaibhav... i am free lancer and have a project in hand of a walkthrough.... i have created grass in the entire layout using displacement, and have 7 pillars and a sculpture of an eagle on a pillar and 2 3d trees... well thats my scene at present. and as soon as i put it to render after building the light cache and 2 prepasses the max file shutsdown..... i can not proceed further because of this problem and there is a lot of work to do in the scene. please i am in urgent need of help i dont know what to do.... i am having a reasonably good config. machine!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi friend,
i am pretty bad on the tech front. however i can say that displacement is a huge pain to render. and if it is applied on grass then it must be every where! i suspect that's what is blocking your renders. try rendering a frame without displacement and see if it works. isn't there a simpler way to create grass? have you tried sprites?
all the best.
i have already tried creating grassfield by using a 3d grass patch converting it to proxy and using array tool spreading it all around the layout.... but it could not give me a realistic effect.... it did not look like a grass, instead it looked like a huge patch of nylon bristles thats why i had to go for displacement technique. can you suggest me a better way of creating realistic grass which can be rendered with ease.
Dear friends, i would like to share with you all something we have been working on for quite some time now. Here are excerpts from our in house mini film currently under production at Vaibhav Studios, Mumbai. More coming up soon.
Do have look and let us know your views. This is the first time we are sharing it publicly so we are damn eager to see the reaction. Pls do share it within your gang as well. Many thanks.

hey vaibhav, thats an entertaining piece of work.. .. smooth animation... cant wait to watch the whole thing..
i loved all the characters .. but, the Deer or chitrangan (if am not wrong) he acts a bit choppy .. in the later scenes his eyes and mouth actions appear a bit rigid..
but truly.. it is quite entertaining stuff.. inspiring..
Dear all "jungle" people. After watching your promo, I felt this is the one which I was expecting from Indian production house. This is really very good work. good modeling, texturing is good, lighting is good as well, animation nice, composition nice, good camera angle, of course good editing, dialogue and voice is also matching with character so over all looking very good so hope you people well keep this continue for further more. hope to see more with good story.
i really liked the overall quality of Return of the Jungle... This is wat we get when we spend time on our work ... and we can say achieving this quality is not impossible for Indians as well.. Thanks for making this movie... Plz publish this on a larger scale and let the world know.
Thanks Ashimator and Saroj,
Do help us publish this on a larger scale. We have tried whatever little we knew. Seek your help in spreading it to your contacts.
vaibhav, what kind of help can be done from my side let me know if it is possible definitely I would love to do that. you have done really great work and it shouldn't stop here.
