Default OCT'09-WIP-manimator-PUSH

Hello guys,

I was doing this push exercise-----Most of the part I tried to make it look simple, which also would be boring..., as I wanted to get the posing and timing right....This is stepped through out and in progress.. Check this out and please give me you invaluable critique.

hey this looks good man!! ... just a couple of things that caught my eye:
> watch out for his head angle during the first push ...looks like he is hurting his head...

> right thru the shot, his hands are glued to the box...you can have them off contact when he anticipates mid way
...and also the hands are too vertical in the end just before they slip down.

hope that helps!

Hey nice attempt......

But it's looking like he doesn't apply the more energy and than also he is tired....

so first of all give some more anticipation for more energy......

PUSH YOUR POSES........

and chetan is right u can add some slipage on foot or hands also.....

nice work mainimator.......

Now do one thing first see your old version and than again see your latest version.....U will find more intresting...... WHY????

Cause u pushed the Line Of Action.....so u saw how line of action plays very important role on makeing animation intresting instead of boring moves....

just wanna say one thng that i am not understanding what is happening at the end.....

One more thing........I loved every Anticipation u gave....the timing is also i liked it...

Waiting for more updates of your file...nice work....

And now how to upload .mov file....

Very easy first go the http://www.screencast.com/

Make your free account and than there are tutorials to how to upload .mov files. I always upload on that only...

Keep Animating.....

Hey Vishal...,

Thanks a lot for your comments man. You just made me notice the importance of posing. I am still not sure how to go ahead, kindof stuck somewhere in the scene , especially in "in-betweens". It is so tough to manage the arcs, weight and the timing al together at once..!!!!! .Sorry about the ending, I was so not sure how to end it..!! Maybe i need to get a video reference shot on myself.!

I wonder if anyone can explain how to manage this stuff at once. Now that Anirudh had said there will be a break in these sessions, why not we have some classes on this stuff.?

Ya you will stuck cause after doing this much u are thinking of the in betweens.....that's y u r stuck......Break the action more man.....This is not the time to do the in betweens......That is my thinking....

for example take first two poses and think about it and how you can break it more....Means how your body will travel from pose A to Pose B....did u got what i am telling if not u can ask me again......... Like this u can break more your whole scene......while break this way you also have to maintain the arcs of the body timing......and overlapping action..... make sure that every body part is overlapping each other......

And ya you should do Video refrence but i prefer before starting animation in 3D software you should do that......At the planning stage you should do that......And don'at worry about the ending part you will get that after you will do video refrence u didn't do video refrence before that'y y u are confused about the end part but no worries do that now.....

Anyways i hope that helps you.....if not than ask me i will tell you in more easy way.....

Happy Animating........best of luck.
