yaa actually mine is 1090t but it gas increased my rendering time upto 70$faster.but u have to use x64 operating systen for that...its very powerful....i am a lighting and rendering artist too....thanks.

Both are important dear. But learning core lighting in software render is always better. Mental ray will give better outputs, no doubt but it is not used in production. Simply they don't have time to render in mental ray.
