Hey guys,

This is Asha from chennai.I am looking to be a character animator.I am especially looking out for jobs in bangalore.Inspite of having sent in my demoreel to many companies i HAvent got a reply.Any of you who know companies willing to take fresher please let me know.I happen to be a decent character animator:) who wil only get better with proper guidance.

Sorry mate i saw ur demoreel u need loads of work before a company would take u in put it this way they really dont have time to teach new people that is why its so hard to get into companies in our indursty u have to come up with shit hot stuff check out some demoreels of animators on 3d total ne ways for now all i would suggest is keep on practicing

thanks for ur valuable comments.I know i have to improve a lot..but my prob is i dont have proper person to teach me..I showed this to my sir in my Image Insitute he said it was fine.Of course lots of work needs to be done.so i guess wil start working on it al over again..

thanks man...HEheh i know my sir doesnt know that much...but i guess i have to improve...but my point i can keep doing it again and again..rite now iam done with my course and i want to start working man.I mean I dont want to sit at home and keep improving it.:(

Well all i would suggest is re work it think you are at a job work 8 hours on it sincerly every day for a month

1 week planning preproduction and collecting refrence shit loads of it go out film stuff etc

next 2 weeks work on ur anim

and last week render and comp ur demoreel it is possible to do it in a months time look at the bright side u just have to animate not rig or texture stuff
and check out that link i sent u amazing work in anim

hey,thats the scenario all goes through bro..:(
i too went through it say around 2 years back..and i feel all freshers has to go through this norms in India..
and i know its more frustrating when we don't get replies to our mail..
I wonder why cant all this big studios keep a person to reply to mails:D
it will just cost little:D
Ne ways on a serious note pal....
Indian animation scenario,is what you have seen,they treat freshers has a piece of garbage:)
my reel was once thrown to the dustbin,when i asked the HR to just view it,she said she doesn't have 2 mins to waste for that:D
this is the the general outlook of studios,they catch HR(usually females[NO OFFENSE TO ANY FEMALES:)]!! who know nothing about animation,and still they recruit)
what i will plead you is bro,screw them all,and just keep on working,i know its frustrating to sit at home and stuff,
but just concentrate on one thing,and thats making your reel great..
Keep that as an aim pal,and one day ,i promise,these same people will be giving you a call,and ask you to come to their studio for a talk..
Its all about your passion towards work..
Dont let all these things frustrate you..
and one small tip,never email your reels,courier is the best option,they actually bother opening the courier and watch your reel..:D

And you could always retouch your work ne ways if i could see ur reel i could give u better suggestions

I am trying to work on new animations...I personally know m demo reel is not up to the mark but thats my first attempt:confused: ..
so like saj suggested i am trying to look into others people's work and improve mine.. i guess its never ending processs...

hey cgimage i did courier my resume but still no use....when i go to ocmpanies they ask me to become a teacher or a course coodinator jus coz i am a girl and girls r not upto the hectic produciton life....:( and big companies dont take freshers...its a vicious cycle...

Infosys narayanamoorthy's wife is the first girl to work in the great tatas production floor ,she saw a ad saying male enginers are wanted to work in production so female dont apply,she got angry and write an angry letter to tatas .she got the interview letter and she thought it for eyewash . but tatas respected her boldness and her knowledge and appointed her as a first female eng in the shopfloor (rest she met narayanamoorthy there).

so never ever give up ,work hard u will get reward

This is really frustrating. I am a fresher and as of now, I too am facing the same situation in mumbai. everyone wants experienced lot. why don the companies realise that experienced ppl are not born but made. as of now with so many animation colleges we have more freshers coming out every year. if they are not given a chance then anyways, they ll not have any experience and the no. of experienced lot will get limited. FOR GOD"S SAKE, give FRESHERS A CHANCE!!!

I understand wat u r going thro..but like others said we need to jus practice until our time is rite....i heard lot of companies aer opening up in mumbai...recently madhusudha,oscar winner for vfx lord of the rings is opening up thr.... they r looking out for freshers only..but they have a 3 yr bond..i dont know thr company name and details..if u need further info jus mail me at arkstruck@gmail.com...
