dude..

nice try for just 3 months. I suggest you get preston blair's cartoon animation book and then observe the walks and runs and the poses there. for ex. during a walk, the body will lean forward..

get that part down.

good luck!

hi ajay,
for a fresher it is good going and i would suggest to work on as big'bs told you like you can see "timing for animation", Preston Blair and dont forget the "ASK" is the best till now, go through this things and if you can make out your own ref that would be much better ya that is time consuming but still the best metho to workout....:D
happy animating

hi ajay,

a couple of things -

- trim your reel, its over 2 mins, make it under 90 secs, or rather 60 secs would be perfect.

- recruiters get 100 of demo reel daily, so make sure you have your best stuff first. right now first 40 secs is just of character walking and running, which you should remove it completely. its very unlikely that if you dont have anything interesting in the first 10 secs, chances are he/she wont stick to see the rest of the reel.

- those days are gone when demo reels had walks and runs and jumping without any reason. nowdays you MUST have a nice mix of Acting (Emotions) and Movements(showing movements which look natural and believable). So if i were you, i would not put any walks/run in my reel at all.

- you can do good not to put just the facial as you have done now. include the facial in the acting animation itself.

-overall, i feel you need to work on your basics and foundation stuff like timing, spacing, exaggeration and so on, basically the principles of animation.

I understand you are a fresher and just beginning out but make sure you have the principles nailed down and more importantly you should be aware of what to apply where.

As suggested by others, get the books By prestor blair, timing for animation, animation survival kit, illusion of life are a few which will give you a good starts.

Nice attempt, keep the enthusiasm going and keep animating.

Hi Ajay

Nice work. I also feel that you need to have more grasp of posing, timing, spacing and all fundamentals of animation. But, good going.
