hey.. do we have any hint of what kind of expedition the passengers were a part of.. before crashing... it'd give an idea of the kind of stuff they 'd be carrying in the plane.. which we cud use to develop more additions to the character

You can keep your own creativity going on the story part too, to cook up the kind of expedition they were on.

Their is no limitations on that. You can come up with any number of entries you wish.

Hey gr8 contest. im gona try my bst 2 remove some time for this one. but I actually have some querries.
1)Can the character be a small child? i mean is it neaceassary for it 2 be an adult?
2)is out of space thing allowed?
3)can there be other people too. I mean like some kind of captives or hynotized or zombee type?(people frm the plane.)
4)Can tere be things like ghosts?
5)Can it be in the past?
6)Civilian plane means we cant show them in a creative type of plane or any other flying thing?(space ship, jet plane,....)

Nice to see these questions. Yes the character can be a child. Not an infant though. A lot is open to your creative thinking.

Not sure on this point. Hope my answer to point 6 below covers this.

Yes.

Yes, though need to select a time zone that had civilian aircrafts.

Travelling in a civilian aircraft would include private jets, though may not be a space ship. . . . While they were not flying a space ship, could have encountered one during their time in the wilderness. J

Got a lil doubt with the competition
Is it Game 'art' design ..wherein the effort is more expected in creating a beautiful title/cover page design or the entire process..?
I lately saw the competition thread saying game character concept design?
which obviously involves a great amount of supporting stuff too..

Can you clarify pls if its art or character concept design?
Its just that I have to confirm before start posting

Glad that you asked this question. To clarify, this is a ‘game character concept design’. The guidelines have been kept brief, essentially to provide a framework and basic direction. To keep the challenge interesting a lot has been kept open for creative thoughts from the artist. For the scope of this contest you need not worry much about production related issues.

Im a bit confused here.:confused: Does tis mean tht we just have to upload the character with its weapon. or with a bg and in some action like. i mean sort of a game pster type image or game shot type image or only the character with its weapon. Plz let me know so i can upload my work accordingly.

Primary focus is on the concept character being developed. Background and even action are welcome, and should only strengthen the character being portrayed.
