hi guys i m thinking of doing something related to the character of saraswati although i m not done with the concept but this is some thing that i m looking forward at ,also i wanted to know can some thing like this work well regarding the original concept issue because i have taken inspiration from many sculptures of saraswati and even this pose is seen many times. i decided to add a serpent in the concept which has to say that this serpent is trying to disturb the meditation of saraswati.. although nothing is final yet but would like to get critics from you guys.....and i m not good at drawing so hope these type of concept drawings are acceptable....please comment..

Hmm...
Very neat and nice base mesh ...
But it looks a bit densy. This is for sculpting so I think it can be low res.
Head is also not looking in proportion and belly part is also looking a bit long.....
some adjustable issues only....
But looking very nice now you can start sculpt for body part.
Keep updating :)

You need to change the proportions a lil bit and make it look more artistic... right now, your model is more on the realistic side, i liked you concept art coz it has that aesthetic feel in it... try to get similar shoulder n waistline in your model as well...

nice work bro ,,, the forehead looks flat, give it some curvature .. and teh pose of th entire body looks a little stiff.. get a graceful curve for the body ..
like the hoysala sculptures

cool update,nice going man .....
really loved the pose , i agree with sanpaiya & the hip's part little more wider
do rush in the bump details try to get the rhythm in her..
mean to say the line of action & on which leg how much weight is put so according to that the sculpting on the legs change.
good going so look more on to the female than on the dragon , once the pose &volume is done then starts the ornaments part so keep pushing urself
as well as u r inspiring me also to work &think more....
waiting for more updates.

thanx mayurcool ,for posing i partially used maya clusters and partially zbrush3 transpose tools...
thanx sunny ,thanx sanpaiya ya guys i will try to fix most of those things but i am facing a bit of problems while using zbrush as i am doing it for the first time so i am not able to do it that fluently..and for this concept of saraswati when started i had a global vision of saraswati(as a goddess of knowledge) in my mind so she wont be looking that much indian ,altough i am not yet able to get a hang of the feel in the sculpture ,so i'll try my best to correct the things u all have suggested...

Nice work dude
But the model needs more details...
work with more resolution and put the detailing on the body.
Good going... Keep detailing :)

nice progress, but there is more need to enhance the forms than on adding detail to this piece.
Also,design-wise, I still cannot see the character of Goddess Saraswathi in the sculpt. her attire is not very divine at the moment.

thanx digital 3d ,
thanx sriram for the suggestions, and i have a question about forms, whenever this word form is used in art field what exactly does that mean,is it the block of the object or the contour shapes and silhouettes or what exactly it means can u please explain to me a bit about it... i m very much confused about this term. and can u suggest me a good way of studying the forms...

i think for now i wont be able to do more on this sculpture.so this is my final update for the challenge.i had fun through this one month and some learning as well....and one thing which i realised was that i have a kind of hesitation in my drawings which i felt even while trying to sculpt in zbrush....

when someone says "form", they mean the collection of underlying mass of musculature/flesh which actually gives structure and shape to the body. The form is not necessarily just "muscles", the bones add to the form too.
The human body is a huge collection of forms, and studying the anatomy of "musculature/bones/skin" and how they connect with each other, how they change with movement etc helps you when you create an organic character or creature.
here are 2 pics[not accurate, rough example!] showing how you can dissect a human reference into forms :
image > http://i18.tinypic.com/86011tc.jpg
Also, forms are context sensitive, they need not be just human forms. They can be cloth or stone or anything that can be felt. Putting the forms in place and blending them well gives your artwork a natural feel.
To better understand what form and gesture [pose that sets the expression of your character] ,I will strongly suggest you to buy Zack petroc's Gnomon DVDs,
"Digital Sculpting The Human Anatomy" talks a lot about it, and the "Female Anatomy" one will help you a lot too, his other DVDs that cover creature creation are priceless material.
nice job on your final entry, you surely must've had fun and learnt something new through this to help you with your next work ,goodluck :)
