I want to sart new company

I have a friend in UK and he want to start a small size company in India in the field of 3d content devlopment for TV and other media.

Now some questions;

a) Can foreigner set up this kind of company in India or we need to coorperate with the local? What are the prcedures to set up this company (registration, cost..etc). We basically need someone to do the marketing, business development, admin, etc.

b) Do we need any license to involve in this content/3d outsourcing business in India?

c) Where should we based? Mumbai, Delhi or Banglore(any other town)?

d) For hiring, how could i check the salary range to hire the local to work for us, especially in Business Development, system admin.. and HR.

e) Is there any way to check the revenue sharing and cost estimation between content devlopers and the client company.

Hi brajesh,
1. Its advisable to start a business with the local partner.
2. Registration would not cost u much. It depends what registration u do. Private Ltd, or Partnershiop, or Properitorship. It would not cost more.
3. Best place for you to open will be the south India. As there are plenty of Manpower. Especially in Chennai. As the town is best for low cost manpower and the cost of living and cost of maintaning a company is v.less compared to Bangalore or Hyderabad.

All the above things i can help you. As i am running a Institute and working in the Animation Industry for the past 5 Years. I am in the field of Special effects and i am in the verge of starting a business.
A joint venture would be great here.
