hi all

im always indesisive in almost everything, heres yet another one .......
I was wondering how good it would be for me to enter da CG world as a 3d modeler ...... (as of now i have not attended any training institutes)

but this is an example of what i can do on my own, (work beyond this ,,,, is a scary , but a dream of mine)

rough concept in 2d:

basically im a software engg, .... but, i like to explore the art side .....
im based at hyd, and heard about 'race-india' institute , regarding 3d modelling , ..... its costing me 1.4 lakhs for 12 month course, ......

do you think if i, do any such courses, will help me in improving my skills as a modeller, and i could enter into CG world as a 3d modeller??

if joining any institute is a good option, then, how is race-india? .....
is there any other one which is better (in hyd ?)

............. or anyone of you guys are letting anyone else do an internship or of that sort? :D , it should also be cool !

hey buddy i like ur concept art.... ;) neway's bout joining any institute totally depends on how much u can learn from it. Don't every go into any institute in India dreaming that they'll teach you everything u need to know, cause they just don't (correct me if i'm wrong) anyway's the internet is ur best friend and will help u all the way. As for the software since ur a software engg i don't suppose that learning any new software will b of any challenge to u, speakin as a software engg come 3d artist myself..

Well ofcourse it'll help u provided u put in ur own hard work into it, consider it this way if u learn somethin urself u may take for instance a week to learn somethin new which the institute will help u speeden say to about 2days, provided u put in ur efforts into it.

So it all comes to u, remember that most instutes teach u only the s/w's and bout where each tool is placed and not xactly train someone on how to creatively use them tht's upto u.... so u can either learn the tools frm an institute or learn it urself over the internet.

Finally it all come's down to ur personal choice and how exactly u liked to be trained...

Good luck with ur choice.....

There are only two things in the world...either to do it or not... If you want to do it do it in such a way that success cant escape from you or else dont even think of touching it...
