hi ameesha,
I would like to tell you the most important thing in animation is your timing senses. You need to master the classical animation before you get into 3d. Once you are perfect with the principles then everything is fine you can just learn the software in a week. I strongly recommend you to go thru a book called as " Animation Survival Kit " that is the key to your success.

One more thing there is no guarantee for any job anywhere all you have is your capabilities. If you have the right capabilities then job will come to you. So you have to develop these skillsets. You just need a better workstation and a good mentor.

i think it would be good if you could explore the possibilties by taking up a short term course in animation...just to exploe your interest...like 2D animation [ i know it's a rare these days] or flash animation or 3D...specially from some of the part time trainers who actually are industry professionals...that could give a better insight...about animation and your interests with it...frankly there's no gaurantee what you'll end up learning in these institutes...becoz of the basic fact that there are hardly any experienced professionals working with them...you can call up Sameer Tulaskar - 9819227713...he teaches both flash as well as 3D basics...he's located in Kurla...All The Best!!!

hey ameesha,

im a student of graphiti school, n i think it teaches all the required elements that u need in todays world of animation. as for the job factor.. no one really guarantees a job today.. or its a job with a low payscale... i never really had a problem gettin a job, or neither did that happen to any of the other students that were there with me...

as FastestLighter has stated "there is no guarantee for any job anywhere all you have is your capabilities. If you have the right capabilities then job will come to you."

so see the benefits of each institute on what they teach.. and the courceware.. and dont really go for the job guarantees..

best of luck on ur choice.
