<P>Found this&nbsp; guy lying on my table yesterday night 1 am.. so i though i will give him some identity.. and here it is.. hes famous on SU with his friends</P>
<P>Modeled wih Rhino 3, Material and rendering in 3dsmax 6 using final render stage 1.&nbsp;&nbsp; rendertime = 1hr . 5 min.<BR><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v130/has_sin/boltnet.jpg" border="0"></P>

You need more grime at the corners. The edges need a bevel to catch
hilights. Right now it is looking too flat. Add a bit of color
variation over the body. The inner turned part will need a bit of dirt
trapped in. Add some dents on the sides and the vertical edges. Some of
your hilights are burning too much.

<P>well. i have a bolt exactly like what i have shown.. no champher edges nothing..&nbsp; just as u see..&nbsp; this is not my imagination.. its about modelling something exactly it is..&nbsp; having edges beveled or chanphered will just add some unwanted details..&nbsp;&nbsp; here we are not looking at a organic face or human structure modeling..&nbsp; so anatomy does not matter. and yes i have a super clean nut on my desk without dirt on the inner side. </P>
<P>its not a burning effect its a lens glow.</P>

no no its not about i dont like critisms or something.. tell me onething guys.. why should the corners be grimmed, why should i bevel the edges....when its not.. just to catch extra highlight ... what kind ofcolor variation ur talking.. its polished metal... ....&nbsp; they should there be dirt..???&nbsp; i mean i hav just did this as it is.. thats all.. thanks for&nbsp; ur interest.. and no hard feeling..

hmmm. nice.. you could try using a warm coloured background.. but thats just from the compositing side of view.. 3d is good.. you have all nuts only lying around.. :P
