yeah u need to work on the texturing....
different models in ur scene needs different materials lke blinn, lambert, phong... etc ...
for eg the sofa shd have a cloth material ... now it looks more like a plastic.. or metal
modeling is OK but needs improvement!

You need to improve on each and everything. Start from the basic, first model thing then give it a suitable texture than go for lighting and render it. Search for tutotrials for different things. Like if you are texturing than look for a nice detailed texturing tutorial and try to give the model a proper texture than go for lighting tutorial. Also if you find any problem you can always ask it here on the forum. All the best to you :D :D
