Job in mumbai

hi friends,

i am web designer and i am into vfx now i am studing in surat. MAAC but i need a job in mumbai as here is surat there is not much awareness about 3D amination and vfx, i am into web designing since last 2 yrs and i have got lots of experience in this field, i kwn vfx and animation industry is rapidly growing in india mainly in mumbai so i need to shift to mumbai and parrallay want to study as well in MAAC andheri branch. i am posting my resume to many studios but i am waithing for there replys.

if any one can help me out in this matter i will be thankfull to him.

posting resume to many studios dont help at all, i have send resume online
to many, but not a single reply, i wonder if my emails reach them, u have to
meet them personally, show u r showreel, and they will tell u that they will call u in 2 to 3 days, and if lucky u will get call, otherwise forget it move foward, other simple thing is find a friend, in some studio he could help u
to get a job.

come to mumbai and search for job , in web designing u could easily get a
job, but i recommend u to concentrate on study, when they teach try
to practice at same time it will help u a lot.

Well friend, Best advice is find a recruiter like K-Force staffing or other regional recruiters in your area, and stay connected with them!! It may take 2 weeks but if you keep in contact, return the calls from your recruiter you will land something. and a small Company in a Third World Country would pay peanuts compared to a Corporate Giant in USA or UK, you see. Once you do land something make sure you work hard

Posting your resume to the studios will not do any good. It shows a very casual attitude towards the job. Also do not make the mistake of sending resume to 20 different companies in the same mail using CC. It is very unethical and puts off the recruiter immediately.

The best way is to do the following

1. Go to the studio website. Get the numbers or email ID of the HR department
2. Call up the company and talk to the concerned HR person. It is always good to get the name of the person first before talking to them.
3. Tell the HR/recriutment person of your qualification and your skills and politely ask if there are any vacancies available and that you would like to apply for the same.
4. Be clear of what you want to do. Do not give vague answers like "I can do anything" sorts. If you are a VFX artist, say clearly that you specialize in VFX.
5. Take the proper address of the company and post your latest resume & demoreel to company and address it to the HR person you spoke to.
6. Give all your contact information clearly in the resume & demoreel.
7. When going for an Interview, Know everything about the company through the website and other sources.

Studios like R&H & Red Chillies are always on a lookout for people in VFX. Try with those companies
