Session 13 - "Cupid"

Hey everyone,

Lets make a new start of speed modelling sessions with
our revamped cgTantra. As the Valentine day is nearing how about
modelling a cupid?

So get started .The
session will be closed on 25th Feb, 2007 midnight .
From this speed modelling competition, each winner will be
entitled to the newly introduced 'winner logo' below your avatar and will also get a free cgTantra t-Shirt.

Hey peeps...Happy Valentine's Day to all first...
No one seems to be posting anything here? Its suchha gr8 topic (love is in the air) and i think it would be a great way of exposing your imagination and modeling skills :) So please guys...start posting what you can do with a sweet theme and few clicks of valentine adrenaline !

New tantra is going thru few small iterations but hey it looks damn good isn't it? If you have any queries how to get you old username/password working, or more issues, go thru this thread here and hopefully they will be resolved soon.

Hi tantra,
Just getting used to the new interface :) Congrats to the team behind it.
Looks like all are waiting to post their entries to this cupid challenge in the last minute..which is tonite..anyways, here is mine.
Always wanted to do this in 3d eversince I saw the painting. Its an attempt at copying Sir William Bouguereau's "Lamour Au Papillon" (Cupid with the butterfly).
Thanks to tantra for the cool timely theme and keep the challenges going.

Time Taken - 16-18 hours thru 5 nights.
Software - 3DS Max

here's my model...took somewhere around 3 days and one day for rendering...haven followed any concept exactly, just some imagination..I dont see many entries here, so i wish to see more next time.I really had fun modelling it and i think everyone else too should model for such sessions, its a great way to practice.
