Is it making colour of skin, creating realistic looking blood 2dcally or it is something else cause i know how to do such thing in photoshop, is it same or something else.Texturing means does it texturing 3d model in max or maya or softimage if it is then what is the demand in industry for a texturing artist?

Hey.. well im not a pro or some guy with lots of
links..you can always search for it on the internet... according to me
texturing is here is how and what it is..

When you create a model (object) the color or the
feel that you get is because it uses the default scene material..So
texturing in other terms is material..

for eg. im max when you create a teapot you
cannont idnetify if it is made out of plastic, wood, clay, Gold.etc.
cause it does not have "a skin" so to speak.

in order to identify a perticulair object that you have created is by texturing it

Texturing is more of a tecnique or a process whichever you see it as...

The process of creating a texture you would need
the following.... 1) Define what your object is made up of..for eg.
Wood for instance you would nee a shader which give your object some
kind of base..like metalic shader if you would wana create Gold.. and
then you define properties like Reflection, transperency the strength
of highlights ... Ambience (the color of the object when kept in a room
with no lights)

if you have a logo on a tabel you would do it in
photoshop and assign as an image over an object like replacing
the base color of the object with an image, either the whole object or
some part of it (Mask)...

PM Dynafx and ask him to mail you some links if you still din't understand...

there that should give you a basic overview.....
P.S my hands were paining to type all that..ill do the rest later..
well for texturing artist you need to have a decent
amount of knowledge about topology of mesh...Good knowledge on lighting
