I am totally new to Maya rigging and animation.

The other day, at our class in MAAC, we were having the Reverse foot setup session.

When I tried it at my home puter, the reverse foot is working.......BUT when I move the pelvis down, the feet don't stay fixed on the ground.

Then I took that .mb file to class at the center.
When I tried to move the pelvis down, it worked perfectly.........the feet were planted.
My fac has no idea why its happening........he mentioned something about the graphic card........but that obviously isn't the prob.
It's just bones in the viewport, after all.

Any help on this?

Thanks in advance.

oops, I'd forgotten to update this.
yeah, it was Maya 5 at both places.

Well, the problem has been resolved now.

It was due to something that happens in Maya...........when you've planted the foot using the reverse foot lock...........but when u vertically move the pelvis down, the feet go below the ground.

What happens is the viewport doesn't get refreshed.

So after the pelvis is shifted, u just need to slightly move the 'parent' joint of either reverse foot..........and the feet will be back at ground level (thereby just bending the knees).
Set the key only after doing this, in case this prob happens to u too.

Prithvi, in which centre of MAAC are you learning?
