Our last session, ? My favorite cartoon character? had a
very good response ? We got to see Daffy duck, Sponge Bob, Sid, Simpson and the
manga character. It was good to see the level of enthusiasm. Thanks to all who
participated and all those who supported in choosing the right winner.<img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0"><o:p> </o:p>

This is the 12th speed modeling session and the
last one before our tantra anniversary. 

The winner of this particular session wins a Wacom Graphire 4X5  on 3rd December at cgTantra anniversary.<a href="http://www.wacom-asia.com/products/graphire4/graphire4.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.wacom-asia.com/img/top/top_graphire4.jpg" border="0"></a> <o:p> </o:p>

Lets see all of you participate in a enthusiastic way.

The topic for this week is ?The  Djinn and his lamp? You
have a little more than a week ,but not two weeks, so be smart and act fast?sppppeeeeddd

hey Guys, after 16 hrs. of work, my Ginnie is complete.. 
split into 3 days:( day1: 7 hrs. day2: 5 hrs. day3: 4 hrs.) 
 
1st did a rough concept on Paper then straight into 3d.. 
 it was all modelled from Scratch, using 3dsmax7 
 
 hope u find it interesting,  i'll post some model WIP process & wireframes too.. 
  Best of luck for all the guys who are participating or planning,
i'wd say still there is sometime, so Rush & Push yourself..Dont be
Lazy...!! u've nothing to loose..

great topic guys....but where are more entries?? This cud be so much fun and offcourse the timing is perfect, right before CGT's anniversary which cud win u a Wacom, some Fame and heaps of free wishes(its jinn rite) ;) So bust yer asses and get bak to work ppl!! lostanimator: its looking really cool and the facial expression is sweet (as always). Wish if u cud post the textured version, which i suggest u shud do for ur personal portfolio later ;) All the best...

Hi everyone, Great Response from all of you...Waiting to see the rest ...All of you who have started teh model ,give your best and finish it, don miss this session , even i am trying to finish mine<img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> One Little thing all of the participants need to do. You have to post two images of your model in the below mentioned format. For those who have already posted their entries,they  will need to give 2 more images 2 JPGS - 1 Finished Render of your model               1 Wireframe in the same pose Both of these have to be posted in the HDTV format ,  1920 x 1020 Width - 1920 Height - 1020

Cool works guys! this is fun. Here's my attempt .. wud hav spent around 22-24 hours at nights on this guy doing and undoing things on him. Now, its time up! A little about my Djinn guy.. Hes smart and sinister..and is in no way the djinn who can grant u the wish u want! In fact, he was cursed to spend his life in the lamp. hey Guys, good to see SO many posts in the last moment, i was thinking
i was the only participant, in the begining :(   but i'm really
happy that 10 ppl were able to make it,  more should participate
in the next upcoming sessions.. i hope.. 
 
  SO, my vite goes to .... :   ANISHMATIONS 
    The face & the eyes convey a lot, also it has
the Ginnie (Arabian/Indian) touch to it... very Different :) 
  also i like among other CGmaniaxx work too, very nice expressions :) 
   other, good try too :)  keep it up :) 
  believe me, India really needs to Grow/Immerge into the Animation Industry.. & i can see its working.. :)

Great MODELS GUYS. Well Dchung dose a great job for the genie, but not for the Lamp (Doesn't luk like one) My Vote goes to- 1.  ANISHMATIONS--- Coz there are lots of details in the Genie and the Lamp. 2.  CGmaniaxx      --- Loved her enchanting expression with details not missed. 3.  Lostanimator   --- Liked the way the model marks his expression.                                All the other Guys, GUD JOB. Wow having a hard time deciding on this one ...heres my votes 
1) Cg Maniaxx   Really Neat Concept and costume for your character.. posing is good too..neat work 
2) Anishmations  A lot of nice details in your genie..and he looks very evil..awesome !
3) Lost ANimator Good work ...love the expression you have going here.. the gestures on the hands are top notch

It seems to be a good competition goin on,very hard to decide on one,but here goes mine 
1 DCHUNG  i liked the pose,its like "kya hukum hai mere aaka" 
2 LOSTANIMATOR  the hand gesture is really kool,i really like the way the fingers curl around the bottle.
3 ANISHMATIONS nice detailing you really put a lot of effort into this one.
