Hi guys i am starting with a new thread which will feature all my art works [ sketches, concept art, painting, 3d stills, photography ect.. ] and i hope to build up the posts with my latest work as and when it is done. Your landscapes are really nice Bala..u should post more. 
Nice lighthing & colours in  the lastest character..some more rhythm in the cape would be nice..just my opinion.

thanks a lot for ur opinions... as i have grown out of detailed work i prefer to work with bold strokes wich brings out the mood of a particular situation. i like to add details in a painting mostly when i make art for films or something like that... sure i'll post it here when i make one plz come back for more... <img src="http://www.balaart.com/images/art/ask11.jpg" border="0">

really i feel shame to be in this field.... what an excellent way of treatment, you have given in your works.. the style, colors,lighting,composing everything.... oh!!!
at second my taste and the visual feel went to the next level...thanks a lot ...
please do a making of for any your artwork.. that would be very helpfull for the guys like me.... and give us some tips on lighting and color treatment... please...

.that horse really has your character in it(since i saw u in 24fps) i must say.

.the deer image is great color and mood.

.the elephant is nice too- yu have that soft application quality to ur work , diffused one.
if you could have achieved some kind of motion in those war elephant would
have looked great.

the colours are warm.

but some how i feel this image very static and a kind of energy it lacks
..may be a force the elements dont show the synergy between the women and the goat.
the women is very masculin ..her face

i mean a drawing is suppose to evoke some emotion ....isnt it....

besides borris valejo has done his best in these subject...he is worth studdying

From my studies I definitely know that the woman and her accessories are related with the goat. What emotion and static image r u trying to talk abt plz elaborate…

Hope u heard of Frank Frazetta .if u have not, he is the master and an inspiring fantasy artist whom many artists including Boris imitate. thanks for ur feedback and regards for winning viewers choice award in tasi , i saw krishna epi, and quite liked it. the snake and krishna scn are seting std for indian animation.
my career spans littile more than you but a similar journey, and almost same path for any buddung director , its that passion to be dir . , was mine from the day i entered ani. well as the years pass, slowly you move on to the finest ways of finding your voice so am i , and suddenly i found myself in wriitting an entire original screenplay of feature ani. movie- and the next uphill task to put it on screen....so you can see that next year...about best work ....its not something we are contesting with each other...but colaborating....do you agree?

the sound of peacock always haunted me and this one was inspired by just the sound so i explored the character based on the sound, it was interesting to explore a character based on its sound.
