Hi there

i dont know how u work

but best teqnich of car modling is box modeling.or better u made part seaparetoly.basically when u start car modeling creat each n every part in polygon model and then convert into SUBd check out the smoothness and agin

transfer that into poly and again give that part a normal smoothness

u will find ultimate result checkout my www.mayatantra.com site

hey if u follow the model sheets properly u can get a very good output....so get a model sheet as a reference and start modeling with all four views on .now when u get the basic shape of the car u can start working on each part individually. And yeah u can work on either poly or nurbs.

alright i think making a car with a plane is the best option , box modelling can lead u in to trouble later, if you are not familiar with the box concepts, special for a noob,
i make cars with starting off from a plane, as all the sides are open so its easy forme to make any side of the carlike i can drag the edges of the plane to the window side or i can drag the edges to the windshield or to the back shield,
i prefer from roof, to hood to fender to bumper to doors to back to trunk to back shield
like this i am able to keep my flow constant,
