definately.... u can go anywhere u wish if u have the talent and Animation is no exception. But u want to make very big in Animation never ever think that MAAC or ARENA will lead u there... PICASSO is far better and on top of them. IF u spend a lot on PICASSO... u will get that return too.//.

Well , im at MAAC (Mumbai) , and i can't totally agree to the points you guys put up . Picasso would definitely be great , but MAAC is not trash or anything , ill tell you that much . We have enough inhouse stuff to keep us busy and practicing for plenty of stuff (regular Seminar's and competetions and other stuff like that) . Also your teachers are the Pro's who are still into this industry. The Professional offices are infact just a floor down below the students section , and often you can go there and just see how the actual process goes on . Faculty wise the institute is really good . It's a bit on the expensive side though . The material provided is usually not that good , but it's a 24/7 facility and plenty of faculty is always around , whome you can always request to help you in whatever . In the end i guess , i am making full use of the main support the teachers provide at MAAC (they're greatest strength.......atleast here...dunno about delhi) , so i dont find it all that bad .

hey buddy...Honestly speaking you will get a mixed response in the fourm as eveyrody will be taking their side of institutes...U check it up yourself ..More opinions more confusion...But i still think that MAAC has been here much longer than Any other in the field of Animation..... you should trust somebody who will give u a neutral oipnion...No offence to any body

If a company has its base in canada, it doesn't mean that you will actually start getting canadian education standards. Indian community as a common problem, specially when it comes to freshers. They always get attracted to imported names :), which should not be the way. That is just to attract.

Moreover, you need to check the strength of the base where you will actually study. Check the level of work out their done within that premises. How many activity, events or programs they do on national and international level. MAAC is winning best Animation academy award continuesly from last 3 years. MAAC students won "Best FICCI BAF Awards 2006, MAAC made Television commercial films have been showcased in "Asian Apollo Awards 2006" in Singapore, MAAC TVC got promoted in Tokyo, Japan recently and tied up with more that 200 companies for placement assistance.

Check it very peacefully.

hi Rahul...........

i m KAMAL student of first Batch Passed out of Picasso........

first of all i would like to say that its u and only u who should
decide where to go........... i think u shud be mature enough to take a
decision for u........ go visit all centres, make ur mind and then
decide........

and one more thing.......... see Every student at Picasso have there own demoreel....... throghout the 8 months each student works on their small and big assignments.......and then they have their BIG FINAL MOVIE PROJECT
which is a one minute animation piece whereu work as a team member and
learn the PRODUCTION PIPELINE......... (teamwork Definitely the most
important aspect)

and demoreel consists of each student's individual projects and contribution to the final Animation Film.

i hope ur doubt abt a single Demoreel might be cleared
hey rahul,
it's a matter of debate which is better ....MAAC or PICASSO or XYZ....
and u can't even figure out.....coz honestly this community has recently become a virtual warzone....BOOM BOOM !!!...and every people will back his/her own institute and attack others..so VRY DIFFICULT TO GET UNBIASED JUDGEMENT...we forget that even if we r frm different institutes, we r under da same roof of the CG Industry....
whenever any newbie visit any center 4 enrolment...co-ordinators TOOPI pahena deta hain....heheh...they make lots of exaggeration....so it's quite tough....
over da years MAAC is ruling in 3d arena....their setup is verry good...they got good placement cell....am from park street(kolkata) and it's very good...have also heard andheri center is one of da best....but since ur frm delhi....i can't comment....since education standard varies centerwise....
I have also heard PICASSO is damm good 2....know 2-3 ex-students frm dere...their work is very good...
since ur an intermediate student....u go 2 both da centers...speak with da faculties...tell him/her 2 show showreels of faculties and students..also ask da faculty to show his/her work..it may a bit difficult...but since ur payin da bucks...u have 2 see.....and then decide...don't be afraid...if it's a risk...we all have taken...and it's worth taking....
best of luck...
