Hi Nivedita,

Matte painting is a creation that is made out of different photograhs based on a

concept. In that one matches the perspective, light details and makes a

composite. In this post the top image is the original image and the bottom one is

the newly made using different photo refrences.I hope that answers ur question..

thanks

Nice work...

The foreground area looks really good and the lighting is good too...

but the area far behind...i guess it need more work...its not well merging in the scene ..as in the lighting... the far behind area ( the models n stuff) look artificial all of a sudden ..and its prominent... thers a clear demarcation btween the buildings in the foreground and the ones far away ...if ulook at the bases of the buildings... they look like they are in air coz of the shadow feel on the road

Hope u understand and agree.... i think u shud still work on this...coz it can surely look wonderful... uve got it half done now... so keep going dude...,

quite an effort akshay...:). as its a work in progress im sure u are going to make it look better.

in my opinion, lighting, perspective and proportions need your attention. for lighting, the ambience is missing, sky looks off and not going well with the overall time and light. road's perspective is off at distance and it effects buildings as well. and for proportions/scale, cars at our left side, seems quite small, even smaller than those which are at distance, uve to see which ones to correct.

one important thing: the straight (unbroken line) is in the middle of the road in your version where as that line is not in the middle in the original one. i think this thing has to be correct, uve to be really careful about this as its one of those things which are not to be changed.

these are just my suggestions, u can work on these if u agree...:).

all the best.

I dont like it pls put some sense of perspective before you start painting you can put some 3d package in use while painting matte first. happy matting
