A big hello to everyone
posting my latest work. modeled and rendered in Modo 201. As always, some post work in Photoshop to define mood and recolor the eyes.

good to see new modeling work from you Amaan...this one looks really good... subtle facial details and good lighting mood makes it looks spritiual...suits the title! for critiques...this cud be subjective for a women face...i reckon it a bit chubby/fatty and almost makes it close to a baby's face...(if that's what you are going for) maybe her obicularis Oculi muscles is a bit too closer to eye...the outer line can go down a bit and merge with Levator Lavi (heh i sound too technical) maybe the top brow area cud be a little sharper i personally like the lips...i wonder how fast Modo can be in base modeling the features? Cheers Harsh.

thanks a lot everyone for taking the time to respond and for writing the kind words of appreciation. it's sure is a pleasure to feel so welcome here. harsh: thanks for liking this. the feeling of flesh is intentional--a mixture of doll-like and realistic human/baby fat. And Modo is pretty fast to model with once u get into it.

ABSOLUTE WONDER
    a standing ovation from me !...
  But i do agree with skullhead's points .. and some doubts that i had...
   > the area along the tip of the nose ( the lower tip that curves inside towards the nostril)... has a depth with 2 sharp lines that follow with the depression on the area between the upper lips and the nose... hope u gettin that <IMG src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">...
  > the area below the eyes is slightly burning of light
                im sorry if these points are not true to ur aspect...but it s just some points that i felt i must discuss with u...  do lemme know what u feel...

thanks everyone for replying :) ajaytantra: ...yes you are right that the lines are a bit sharp--and they are enhanced by the reflective nature of the surface. as for the area under the eyes, it's reflecting the light. i didn't intend the surface to be like real skin. thanks for the comments though :) the wireframe's a bit crazy in some areas... <img src="http://www.warpedspace.org/wips/face4_Wire.jpg" border="0">

 "surrender" is not what i feel from ur comp. she is looking up for something instead of looking down or sad, even u put a tear i feel it will go with hope.
an angel looking at heaven for something (may be rain)
and i like the later life like version.
but i still like to see a asian face. 
and ur artistic skill is equally matching to a good fine arts artist.
