hi guys,

can ne1 tell me how can i script the morpher with he bones so that whe i rotate the bone morpher automatically works with the bone movement.i m using max8

for eg. i wnna morph the muscles of chest when the hand bends down.

so is there ne way that when i rotate the bone the morpher works automatically with muscle flow with that movement instead of seting the morpher values manually at each frame with the movement.

plz reply.
<edited><editID>samar vijay</editID><editDate>38918.5510532407</editDate></edited>

u look good if this is u...no need of scripting the morph to get what u
r looking for...some stretchy bones will do the job...chest muscle
morphing...sounds interesting
If, what you want is that a morph works depending on bone angle, rather than scripting it, you can use a morph angle deformer in the Skin modifiers defeormer options.

What you have to do is animate the bone in the required angle, say edit, add a morph angle deformer to the child if two bones are in the selection area, select vertices, add an edit mesh, edit your mesh as required and add te morph from stack in the morph angle options.

Hope you got this.

hi,

in case u still want to do it like u wanted, u can wire the morpher 's channel 's values to the bone's rotations ..but i'm not a max fan.. but wiring might break.. sometimes..

or u can do a reaction manager setup.. like the SDK in maya. or u can use skin morph... (i guess this is what michael comet's PSD is for maya )...

but he careful, about not stacking too much of skin morphs in there. be aware.. "" max has crush for crashing !! ""...

i got the problem solved dudes.

skin morph is the perfect cure for this problem.

its even far more better then blendshapes of maya.

hi...
u can try out reaction manager with a slider or a spinner...by creating a small example...connecting the sliders movemnt to a door's rotation...i mean at the minimum value of the slider the door wud be close and at the maximum value of the slider..the door would open...in reaction manager u need to add a master and a slave and here in the example the slider is the master and door's rotation value is the slave...once both the slave and the master are added u need to give the values at which the action should trigger...
hope this might have helped u.....
