Hello,
I have some problem with rigging in max 7.
I completed rigging a character, just to make my animation easy i added
control objects and linked them to bones with 'wire parameters'.
Sometime now i accidently deleted these control objects, and now bones
are not willing to move which where attached to them. Can anyone tell
me the solution? or else i have to put a new skeleton and rigg it,
that's exactly what i want to avoid please help me.

We normally use physique with biped and skin with bones, but sometime i
have used physique on bones, in that case i have seen that it also
takes eyes, teeth etc of character attached to bones by parent-child
linking, and every time i move them vertices of the character also
move, what can i do?...their is option in physique of deactivating the
link will that help?
Hi innocentpixel, as i understand, u have two issues here: 1> wire parameters & 2> mesh binding with physique.

let me address the latter first::
Binding with physique: when u apply a physique modifier to the stack of
a geometry, u have to 'Attach to Node'. this node is typically the root
of a hierarchy. hence, all children of this node automatically are
potential deformers of the geometry.

solution::link the objects like eyeballs, teeth/gums etc aftre u have
applied physique to the main geometry. then transforming these objects
will not affect the main geometry's verts.

wire parameters::
the bones that were wired to the objects that u accidently deleted
still have their animation controllers as "Float wire", & dats y u
cant transform them.

solution::with the problem bone(s) selected, go to the Motion
tab>Assign Controller. expand the rotations, here u'll c something
like " X Rotation: Bezier Float", "Y Rotation : Bezier Float", " Z
Rotation: Float Wire".[ I'm giving u an example..in your case, it will
be the track(either X, Y or Z) u had wired to the deleted object].
change the one that says 'Float Wire' to 'Bezier Float' by clicking on
the Assign Controller button, and choosing bezier float from the list.

Voila!! da bone iz now free 2 do ur bidding!

pl let me know if u didnt understand anything or if I missed out on something.
cheers
Physique never changed since version 3.1 and its kinda outdated,
so u can safely avoid it and use skin instead on biped as well as bone
rigs which has become so very powerful now....

cheers
