hi there everyone...<IMG src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">. digitaly painted, unforgetable moment for me, from yesteryears. kept it simple and elegant, yet painterly. im happy to achieve that certain atmoshphere/mood and emotion, that i wanted to put. particular palette used to enhance the sentimentalism of the scene. a candid look, feel of some activity, is deliberatly given. 
this painting got selected and has appeared in the 2DArtist magazine, Feb. 2006 issue, recently.

Nice work with the colors...your strokes reminds me of craig mullins work...very rought and yet very deatiled i like the use of colors...bravo brotha!! <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0"> <img border="0" src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0">

Really keep these comming...and why dont u start a thread in basic use of colors and they meanings they signify and how effectively they can be used to convey different emotions...really I seriously lacking tht stuff as coming from a techinal background... and now focusing on compositing and VFX.I have the entho but the expert tips are always a blessings for starters like us. PS: u focus on potraits or like landscapes...will surely like the magic of these colors on some scenaries.....

nicely done but i think that the red tones on the face could be placed with some more thought seems a bit random ..... 
I like what you hv done on the hair though...

hi moonlight, thanks for liking it. regarding randomness of strokes, yes, coz this has been painted in an impressionistic manner, with loose, casual strokes. not only those red tones, but the whole thing is done in that way...<IMG src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">. thanks for droping by.

6shi...this is my 1st reply into this group..but waht i say the colour u mixed for tyhe pic na its really the dam kool thing...see one can draw things but if there is something good things upon somnething is that..... ur colour puting is really good and i really like it the most
