Hey sagar...

Well i'm not a master in Max... but still i can give u a suggestion...

First Make a Plane.... ( with quite a number of faces depending on how complex u want ur Mountain to be)...

Then just add the " NOISE MODIFIER"....and play with the parameters( like fractals , Roughness , Seed , x-y and z values ).... This should give u a good enough mountain...

U can still Pull and Push vertices later on after converting it into a polygon ...

Finally just apply a good texture and u r Done !! simple !

This is the easiest way to create a mountain

        Hope this helps !

This is the best n' easy way 2 make mountain...

*apply "Displace Modifier" on a Plane (increse the segments get more detail)

*Use this image as ur diplacement map/or somethin similar to this..in the Image rollout.

*Increase the strength

*Apply mesh smooth/turbosmooth.
