Hi People....

First of all.. thank you guys for this overwhelming response for cgtantra... we guys are really happy..
Well this thread is about getting the FORUM culture into our Indian Artists.... i've seen very few people really using the forum as it should be used. If they get some problems with ther work.. they either ignore it or look for some bulky books or search some tutorials on the net.. rather than posting their problems on some forum and discuss it with the professionals.

Tell me what do you think we guys can do to get this forum culture in our artists. I think i get to learn much more than what my problem is when i post it on a forum...
so guys, whenever you're stuck with some problem with your art work or animation or some software.. do tell us about that and together we'll come up with some solution of it defintely i guess...i usually get multiple solutions to my problem...

Suggestions please.....
<edited><editID>chand3d</editID><editDate>38256.0368055556</editDate></edited>

Hey Guys,

Now that is something to which i totally agree. Most of the times artists tend to underestimate the power of a community and spend hours doing R&D and going through reference material in order to solve some problem they face. But there might be cases, uknow, when someone else has faced a similar kind of problem, and come out with a solution for that.

So, don't u guys think that sharing ur problem with the community is going to benifit u as well as the entire group??As in, you will get the solution instantly from the other guy who has solved it and also the entire group now has been made aware of the problem and its solution, by which there won't be any similar hiccups thereon..

Isn't that Cool??

Guys, I suggest that if we start using this forum as a medium for all sorts of discussions, let it be your problems, suggestions on any issues, views about present scenario etc.., then pretty soon India's CG community can become the spearhead in this field..Becos' all of us know that knowledge always grows by sharing.

So, please do post any issues you have lets BRING IT ON..

Thanks Abhishek for this inspiring thread.. I think the suggestions on this from fellow cgTantra users will do good to all.

i totally agree with abhishek here......being a self taught 3d artist...and bein from a city like pune...it was really tough to find leads to be really good at this.....but then i found loads of forums to help me out....and now bein a member of various international forums...i always wondered....WHERE ARE ALL THE INDIANS!!!.....

we need to really bring in the forum culture here......so that we know where all the talent is!!!....and clean up the scene in our country.......so all u guys out there....spread the message...especially in institutes where it all begins.(most of those ppl dont even know forums exist!!)....

if u guys think my work is good....well its all thanks to the various forums online.......so go ahead...start posting!!

Like Hells Angel, i am too from the city Lucknow and it was really tough for getting right resources. It was just help files, few tutorials and the Max bible to teach, and very very few resources for learn Animation.

We must be having lots of people in touch who are studing. And many who must be the faculties. The word of mouth addvertisement works the best.
