well nobodys perfect. and so is your model what i mean by saying that is all characters that people create is not always intended at beauty.. the beauty lies in the art. The fact that you have posted this image in the finished thread gives a feeling to everyone (or may be just me) that you are done and may or may not be satisfied with your character head. Well i really can't tell but somethings that don't really appeal to me is 1. the ear ; 2. The eyes ; 3. Jaw bone ; 4. The lips ; 5. The chin. I could just say that try and get a reference rather than a tutorial to work and refine the above pointed out. As far as textures are concerned well you can now use Sub surface scatter to get a skin type texture.. You still can but you can fake it...

Besides that not bad keep it up!!

well I have a tip for you . people are generally seen extruding a lot while modelling always try to divide your faces and try to remove faces from it this technique is more controlable , actually I am an Maya artist but I do know 3Ds Max so in Max try and use cut face tool in Edit Polygon...

try and use image planes...

Thankyou and my all best wishes to Prithvi, its always your intentios greater than your skills , definately going to help you to raise your work

Thanks Swapnil.
The only part where I've extruded is the nose.

The browline, cuts on the jaws and the lips sticking out a bit are intentional.

As regards texturing, I still have to work on it. The moment I unwrap the mesh, I feel like I've touched a live power grid.
