Well i do agree with dyna.. infact the little 3d software research that i did sometime back in cities like hydrabad, mumbai, kochin, chennai,b'lore and pune.. i found a lot of people wanting to know more on software such as lightwave 3d, cinema 4D, Houdini (Sources tell me that the particle system are one of the best In this one), even The New Super 3d modeling app Modo by luxology. Is on the List.. Its the availiblity and the resources and ofcoures the time to experiment is someting which lacked in all the above mentioned cases. Someone even said that after the 3dsmax and Maya wave it was gonna be cinema4D that would be the next big attraction in the Indian Animation Industry. Infact it was also said that cinema 4D is really good when it comes to landscaping and architectural creation. Well, I hope to find out soon and will keep an eye on any person or studio that uses cinema 4D..

I too agree with you, Soul. I also feel that after 3D S Max and Maya...it is Cinema 4D. I felt it is little easy to learn, when compare to Max & Maya. To be frank i never tried Maya. But i heard it is complecated n not that easy. But in Cinema 4D there is no .dwg export option, where we have in 3Ds Max. When come to Rendering part, sure, Cinema 4D is the best. Yes, Soul, me too trying for any person or Studio uses Cinema 4D. In IC Chip magazine, i think i may find some details....i will check out.

Well, the thing is jasra its not been that way.. now this is not me saying this but after maya the next on the "creating waves" list is none other than softimage|xsi and it is actully easier to learn than most of the applications out there. About exporting .dwg, well you don't have to worry about that, Try deep exploration it converts from any format to any format that you want.. so thats no worry. About the rendering part i really don't know what you mean by saying 'Best' cause quite a number of people will disagree with you on that. Any ways waiting to see what othere have to say on this ....
Soul...thank you. Well let me confirm you all that i've never tried any 3D software other than Max. So i can't speak any thing on those lines. It's just my feeling and not to hurt any one's....

I know 3D is a ocean. Some how i liked Cinema 4d, so i'm trying to get some information about it. Just got inspired by the articles in rendernode, renderocity, CGtalk,....etc. I'm delighted that some is responding to me. Thank you all. Expecting more and more information.

Yeah, I'd agree with you guys to an extent. A friend of mine
works on Cine 4D n he told me they were the first ones that came
out with stuff like GI and Radiocity. About Houdini, I
myself have worked extensively on Houdini (the compositing side)
and it indeed has the best particle engine ever. Houdini also is
supposed to be the first of the node based softwares and they say Maya
actually copied it from them. Although I've seen Cine4D 's
interface...looks more like a blend of lightwave and Maya but
working on Houdini isnt that easy. Its totally node based and its
interface is very unlike any other 3D application. <!--

i think, for HOLLOWMAN, they've used HOUDINI, though i've not laid my
hands on it, but i've heard, houdini is just amazing apart from that
its interface is not easy to use
same like not much heard bout CINEMA4D, still yet to hear from any users from india???
