Dude... real nice way to show what ur problem is.

Well...did u try moving other parts of the biped or refreshing the viewport after you move any of the parts ?? Try panning or zooming in the viewport after u move a part....try rotating hands or somethin...

yes i can pose the biped, i can move hands, legs etc. i can even make autmatic walk cycle.but can;t move biped only.

Hmmm, that's quite buggy unless the new CS biped has been made artificially intelligent to detect unregd copies.

Well, I've seen this prob posted on other forums earlier.

The best method to get out of this is to reinstall Max on a new partition.
Hopefully, the biped will learn to behave in the new neighbourhood.

btw, what OS are you using?

well i did try to install max on new partition.well that problem is coming on my friend;s pc.he is using Xp sp1. i reinstall whole max on new partition.but problem is still on.

any idea?

Go for SP2!

ideally......when using latest versions of softwares, the OS should also have the latest service packs.

lol....i don;t think it is the solution.

EDIT:: just for ur information that he can move the biped object in os xp sp1 before. but i don;t know what he has done then he can;t move it.

i also did try to switch in openGL support but still problem is on.
<edited><editID>jigu</editID><editDate>38578.5434837963</editDate></edited>

Just check in case if the bip root has been locked in the HIERARCHY mode and LINK INFO tab. Also check if in case there are any additional controllers which might be overwriting the bip root's transformation.

Also run "gc" command once before u create the biped. It is the GARBAGE COLLECTOR command and might just flush any unwanted cache data which might be causing this erratic behaviour..

Will get back to u soon on this as i dont have MAX HELP on my comp.

hey chan3d thanks for help!! yes i knew everything about that. thansk to reminding me HIERARKY panel. i think he by mistake has locked biped from there.i should check that.well about gc(); command it just clear the 3ds max memory.so after that "Undo" command can;t undo the last command.it is very usefull when u have very complex scene.

As for controllers i checked them first in motion panel's Assign controller tab.they r all right.

i have only option left is to check "Hierchy" tab.

other than only option is left to "Format his PC"

Hey jigu, check if u have the IN PLACE mode switched on in the biped. The toggle button for that is in the modes section just below the start..

well i have to check it out that on my friend;s pc.as this problem is coming on his pc.well yes u r right.but if by mistake that is on than i can;t move biped on X and Y axis.but i can move it on Z axis.

but in that problem i can;t move biped on any axis.and again if u carefully see the video u can see i tried to move biped on Z axis.but it didn;t move.

anyway thanks for ur help. u r only can help me here.
