- for a box kind wrapper.....a simple thing would be to do is detach
the sides of the wrapper and do a pivot adjustment and then animate
each side....

though i suggest you post an image of the soap wrapper you intend to
unfold....it would help in helping you in your "lust for cg" - ;)

Thanx andy,

but its is not a old fashioned boxytype cardboard soap.

If you carefully see a soap pack it is a continus single mesh that folds or unfolds itself.

I have a refernce pack for you.

well it;s hard to animate with bones!! u need to understand how wrapper is fold on soap then try to animate it by keyframing animation.it will sure work.or u can try using cloth modifier.but i don;t think it can give u nice result!! try to animate it by hand.

btw i like the idea. i will try it for u dear.

you could try using deformers on this one.....maybe an ffd....

it also depends on how you got your mesh flowing in the area it unfolds...
with the ref image attached.... i think it would suffice with the pivot adj. i mentioned earlier...

post your mesh model too....in shaded and wireframe....
