Hi cgTantrics, 
 
Lets start of with this challenge, seems a lot of people wanted to take
part in a challenge, so here's it, lets start it with a 2D Art. 
 
RULES & REGULATIONS 
 
1) Topic - cgTantra Wallpaper - CG & INDIA 
 
You are free to play around with the cgTantra logo but closer to our
present one will be appreciated. Download the cgTantra font <a href="http://www.cgtantra.com/images/showcase/ENP_____.TTF" target="_self" target="_self">HERE</a>. 
 
2) Last date of submission - 7th of August 2005 
 
3) If you want to start a WIP of your work, start your own thread in 
<a href="http://www.cgtantra.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=43" target="_self" target="_self">cgTantra Wallpaper Challenge Forum</a> with the following subject - "cgT Wallpaper WIP - [Your Real Name ]" 
e.g. - if Soulstation has to start his WIP thread, he'll start his
thread with the following subject - [cgT Wallpaper WIP - Michael Laxman] 
 
4) Post the image in 1024X768 size in .jpg format. 
 
5) For any queries and suggestion - reply back in this thread.

i agree with td. 1 month is quite a bit 
u could reduce it maybe to 2 weeks max.
people will start to loose interest if its for that long.
anyway we are gonna have more challenges as soon as this ones done ( i Hope ! ) the guys who missed this can always take part in the next.
im in for this challenge though

Hai  its verry verry new entry here??
Is there any concept for this or any craze stuff? I feel u has to put some concept for that. So that other can play around the concept.
 Like awaking India or some thing like that.
 So that we can get different creation on same concept.
 Sorry for that . Its my opinion

Its about makin a wallpaper about CG, India and cgTantra, an art which cgTantra can make its way to represent itself. Hope m clear enough.

Its ok if u people don?t think about that??..    <o:p></o:p>
But im little bit surprise senior members like u both ? not at all concentrating on concepts. I feel concept is the base off all creative stuff? after that we only going to put our CG strength..   see if concept is same for all then only u people can judge the final entries .. trust me with the same concept u?ll get the real expertise?.. & its not at all limiting the ideas ? u?ll find the several ideas on a same concept ???
be kool guyes its just my view <o:p></o:p>im not expert like u all

i'm not sayin havin a concept 4 makin an wallpaper is a stupid idea,but it should hav been decided earlier..and it is not mentioned in the RULES n' REGULATIONS!.so if v really need a concept 4 this i guess "manoj" as 2 redo his work cuz his work  it is not @ all related 2 "India and cg"...watever it might not b a bigdeal 4 him. n BTW, "EXPERT like u guys huh"..o maan i'm still a novice<IMG src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0">

 hai again subject has been decided here also ?. And after that the hell of work we can find there???
 hai u all plz don?t think im arguing  I just want to see cg tantra as a international standard?..

Hi Oath,  Whats with all the E's? Really difficult to read and comprehend. What you said is quite true but then its not that bad if there is no concept. The reason - this is where ideas, creativity will start showing. But also like you said a concept does make it easier to judge. Over to the mods. Cheers, Manoj

Well Well Well.... Time's Up <IMG src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">
The Forum is locked now.. the images will be shown to few Industry Pro's and the results with be out on 10th August.
We got 8 entries from Ajaytantra, Coordinate-x, Danny_sam666, Faceoff, Rawkesh, Shadowcrew, Tilisma, and VVManoj. Not too much of entries but thanx to these guys for taking part in it. 
Its the first cgTantra challenge finishing successfully. Not too huge but hoping for a bigger challenge next time. Keep your suggestions coming in about the next cgTantra challenge we should start with.

guys shouls think about some "award" logos. So tantrics can put them on

Hi Suresh n Tilisma,
Indeed, all the entries we had were real nice and it was difficult to choose the best one. But this was the sole decision of all the Admins and 2 of the Creative directors of the major studios in Mumbai. Cant name them now as m not allowed to do so.
Lets plan out a new challenge and hope everyone shows up real good work again. This time we'll announce the Judges beforehand to avoid any confusion.
