guys, i recently upgraded my system to a core2duo,4GB ram,machine.. but still havent invested in a graphics card.
what is the minimum graphics card requirement for Zbrush to perform high level detailing without the close up shots looking pixellated.
i cant afford high end cards with a budget higher than 15K.

please help

I use a 9600GT and have seen no hang ups with Zbrush. Although, i hear the 8600 GT is also quite good. The Xfx or ASUS make that is.

Hope this helps

I have copy pasted a reply from Zbrushcentral Forum for the Graphic card .

"My recommendation is to go with 64-bit regardless of whether you have 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM. 32-bit versions of Windows can't give more than 2 GB of RAM to any app.

I've been using Vista for quite some time now and am happy with it. Your mileage may vary.

Graphics card plays no real role in ZBrush. You should have one that's OpenGL capable, but beyond that it really doesn't matter.

After RAM, CPU is the most important factor in ZBrush performance. I'd save money off the GPU and put it into the better CPU."

And by the way if you are planning to use mudbox 2 then its a different story
