Hey everyone,

I have a question for everyone and any advice coming in would be really appreciated. I'm already a 3D Character Animator in the industry with a 1 yr certificate in Animation from Picasso Animation in Delhi. I dont have an art background as such and now I have an opportunity of going back to school and doing a 1-2 yr animation course from Canada, either 2D or 3D. I was wondering that since I started off with 3D animation itself I dont really have a 2D animation background.

Do you guys think I should go for a 2D animation course in Canada considering a long-term future in this industry? Or would I be wasting time and money going all the way to Canada with so much money involved to learn 2D animation?

I just wanna get a good foundation so that I can have a great future in the animation industry and I feel having a 2D animation background will help in my career. What do u guys think?

ya i agree with the previos posting frm the member, i feel going to canada for learning animation depends on how you take it even if you dedicate several hrs form the day and do a practice vigorously day in dayout will give you good results i guess if you r intrested to go to canada for studies you can opt for going in advance training as well as some specelized training

keep posting

Hi X-Jo,

For 2D there arent too many good options. So I was thinking about going for Vanarts' 12 month long 2D Animation Program
(http://www.vanarts.com/prog_2d/)

or

VFS 12 month long Classical Animation Program
(http://www.vfs.com/fulltime.php?id=5)

Both of them are well reputed schools and have really good faculties so once I do decide to go for 2D animation the next decision would be to choose between these 2 schools. Anyways, thats for later...rite now I gotta decide whether to go for 2D or not at all.
