Name of the Mascot: Bulbuji

I refer Bulbuji as the Mascot Character for CG Tantra.
The spirit of CGtantra is to 'Learn, Inspire and Grow which I feel this Character can possess.

Couple of weeks ago, I was thinking of a concept that can fit the slogan of CGtantra. I gradually figured out that to be 'LIGHT'
'Let there be Light'.

Light enlightens us. It makes you see things in a different way and this Light can make you Learn, Inspire and Grow eventually.
Bulb was the only thing that ran into my head.Though I struggled abit in creating a Character from a bulb, I finally ended up like this.

I thought of placing the face in the Bulb, later I shifted to the holder because I thought not to because I had a story (which I have not uploaded) where the bulbuji searches for a right Bulb to insert in his holder.
He gets worried till he comes to get the right Bulb(CGtantra store) which will help him in everything he wants.

concept is somewhat different from original bulb characters.
You have placed face below the bulb on the holder.
Usually it was made on the glass bulb.

I liked the original... more than... the so called "final"... I somehow find the face to be extraneous... and hence really annoying.
work on original designs... please.

Bulbuji, seems a ridiculous name(kind of champu, chiraunjilal etc.,don't worry), I guess it would require awful lot of work to give it personality other than design to make it work...
If you deliver on this part also, Bulbuji,would be interesting to see.
