Why would you export model from Maya to Max at the first place? This can be achieved easily in Maya.

ya i feel u can do it in maya...using mayas hypershade and particles...
but it can be a task...
in max its damn easy...
u just need the birth texture plugin from pflow..thats it:)
will try to get you help on maya..
till then cheers:)

SWARNIM,
Your animation is too good.
I would love to do such things.

its kinda popular in archvis world. n most of us use 3dmax for archvis projects, may be u can use the same steps in maya,

option 1 - animate slice modifier

option 2 - use Visibility Tracks ( divide the elements n key the visibility at different time frame)

option 3 - animate geometry ,verts etc ... out put will be cool with little post work,, but too much work..

Option 4 - using scripts n plugins like digimation Grow

u can do those above steps in maya too, but instead of visibility track it may be named different.
