Hey buddy first of all i'd say that if u are going to show something in public for assessment then must do your homework first then submit it in public because experts says always show your best work and probably this is not your best work if i'm right? Because here a number of mistake you have made, instead of giving a character actual look to give the feel to public that your character is doing something you have used a rough character that any experienced ppl will never like to watch. And here another mistake is making your character useless walk instead of telling some story, and when have given a walk there a blunder mistake is the judgement of where your character's weight is going and what kind of expression they have? They are not giving a feel of any clear expression, both are lacking this, they are laughing, crying, sleeping, in pain, wonder, thinking etc. pls. don't get me wrong i'm just trying to sharpen your skill.
If you are really serious about character animation then must watch PIXAR's short film or if possible full lenth featured film like "RATATOULLIE, WALL-E, TOY STORY, MONSTER-INC" etc., always try to compete the person who's on top not behind pot i think you got my point. thanx to keep patience and reading my criticism.

hey dear sorry to hurt you as you said that you'r a student and have given your best to make this still live but again i'm going to throw very hard word about this. ok so first of all have a cold coffee or ice tea before you read this blog...........fine i hope you have got that stuff....now lets have a sip of advise soup..
see first of all if you really want to stay for long in animation then be open to welcome any hard critique and do remember that what i have said in my title that "AN SKILLED ENEMY IS FAR BETTER THAN FOOL FRIEND" i think you got my point. OK lets back on topic..
as a student you can make things like pro and don't say ever that this or that is your best work cuz you have to learn forever and you cant make i mean no one can make things perfect because here in entertainment industry there are a number of ppl who can do magic at any level and make ppl shy by their work but be a good observer and be motivate and do motivate this is one of the key of success. ok so dont give you up untill you find your stuff live i mean make them like they just want to shake hand with you. i think as a student you should observe the various aspect of life and it may be anything from a ant walk to elephant walk and do remember that always be passionate to know about what industry leader have made and try to go in-depth of that and one most important thing DONT RELY ON YOUR FACULTIES cuz you are the only one who can make you expert, make ppl proud. so try to surf net as much as possible----i mean not for chat---surf the net to know the latest about industry and interact with various ppl who are already in industry like PIXAR'S Carlos Baena or ILM's shawn kelly and if you wana know more about animation then must access TIPS and TRICS by shawn kelly of animation mentor and hotspot animator Carlos Baena, you'll got the thing what i wana say.
http://www.animationmentor.com/

and pls. dont forget to be fan of PIXAR, ILM, DREAMWORK and Rhythm & HUES cuz these animation guys are simply rock today.

hey hhhhhhhhh i think i did bore to you anyway i cant stop myself to pour my thoughts and do motivate the newbie. so finally i think you have got your assessment and it's time to take a break for me.

dont be satisfied for less- do more expect more!
thanks for reading it, best of luck for your next demo. happy animating\

Dude! ... great effort man!...Thats a lot of animation!! :) I totally admire the amount of work that has gone into this!
I love the way he sits besides the giant in the beginning.. and you have some other fun stuff going on!
I think you could try simplifying the whole package...in terms of concept, treatment, animation and even the cameras...
watch out for his weight when he sneaks, his hips need to have a bit more up n down movement. also look out for places where he is hitting hard..you could ease in and out a lot more! ... but good stuff overall man!

haha! ...no way man! ....that is what I truly felt! ...Its very common to see push pull tests, jumps, weight lifts in showreels and I felt that you had put in thought into creating something different..for which I admire your effort!
and thanks for your kind words on my works! :) ....you have a good reel too ...and you are just being very harsh on yourself!!
good luck! :)

hi dude

this is a awesome animation, considering the time length, you must be having many sleepless nights,

the antic and follow through of the way he sits beside the fat man is fantastic.

some places check out the symmetrical poses, and some places give more antics and overshoots to make it more snappy..

overall fantastic work, keep it up dude

hey lgdares, i must say considering its your first reel as a student and a fresher, your effort is very good. I would categorize my feedback as a -

As and audience (with no idea how animation is done) -

Its quite nice, though i feel you can trim the entire thing down to say half to around 1 min or so. Starting 20-30 seconds didnt make much sense to me, first the char standing then sitting near the big fat guy, i feel your introduction and setup of the characters and the plot can be done in a more clearer way.

As an animator -

Again the above points stands here too, its very important not to confuse the audience in terms of whats the story and characters are about. As prashant said, it can be simplified in terms of concept, treatment, animation and cameras. Poses can be improved, timing, spacing can be made a bit tighter. I can go and on, just to conclude -

You definitely on the right track, just focus on each aspect individually and u will be good to go.

Good luck.
